Como una aplicación realmente gratuita dentro de las disponibles para Android, Avast! Mobile Security ofrece un rango de herramientas bastante impresionante: protección antivirus, escaneo de apps para saber exactamente qué hacen y Web Shield que escanea las URLs buscando malware. Hay algunas opciones interesantes adicionales en el paquete como es el componente antirrobo, que permite bloquearlo de forma remota, localizarlo o incluso borrar los datos del terminal. De hecho, la solución antirrobo de Avast! es de las más completas y mejores.
Según las últimas pruebas realizadas por AV-Test, Avast! es una opción muy válida con un rango de detección de amenazas del 99,9%. Quizá no sea el rango más alto, pero dado el paquete de funciones que incorpora, como por ejemplo el antirrobo o un firewall disponible para usuarios root hacen que valga la pena considerarlo como una de las mejores opciones gratuitas.
ESET Mobile Security Antivirus
En una línea similar a la ofrecida por la herramienta anterior se mueve esta. Con un rango de detección de amenaza muy cercano al de Avast!, presenta una interfaz muy intuitiva y sencilla. La aplicación básica es totalmente gratuita y ofrece análisis en tiempo real para detectar malware y amenazas potenciales. También incluye una suite antirrobo que nos permite bloquear el terminal, e incluso evitar el uso del mismo por parte de terceros usando una protección por contraseña.
Para usar otras funciones como el borrado remoto o SIM Guard es necesario pagar la versión Premium, que cuesta unos 20 € anuales, pero también entrega protección anti-phishing.suplantación digital de identidad-, auditoría de aplicaciones, monitorización del dispositivo y bloqueo de llamadas avanzado.
Avira Antivirus Security
Con un rango de detección del 100% y sin falsos positivos, puedes confiar en la versión gratuita de Avira para proteger tu Android. Carga algo los procesos de sistema, pero en contrapartida permite analizar problemas potenciales, así como nuevas aplicaciones y actualizaciones de forma automática. También tiene las típicas herramientas antirrobo comentadas en apartados anteriores.
Tiene una herramienta adicional que, según asegura del desarrollador, nos permite saber si nuestra cuenta de correo electrónico ha sido hackeada y nos dice qué curso de acción seguir si así ha sido. También encontramos un rango decente de opciones de blacklisting, de forma que podamos bloquear llamadas no deseadas. Hay una versión de pago, pero las necesidades de la mayoría de usuarios se cubren de forma suficiente con la gratuita.
