Lenovo Yoga C740 14 review: Fewer features than the Yoga C940, but far more affordable
The Yoga C740 is a refresh of the aging Yoga 730 that adds an extra choice for those who love the Yoga lineup.
Lenovo’s premium Yoga C940 is one of the finest convertible laptops on the market today, but all the fancy features boost the price up beyond what a lot of people are looking to pay. Enter the Yoga C740, a mid-range convertible available in a well-built 14- or 15-inch chassis. I’ve been using the modestly-priced 14-inch model for a week to see where it has improved over the Yoga 730 and whether or not it’s up to be your next laptop.
Bottom line: If you’re not interested in paying the Yoga C940 price and don’t mind missing out on some of the more premium features, the Yoga C740 should satisfy as a well-built convertible laptop available in 14- and 15-inch sizes.

Lenovo Yoga C740 at a glance
Lenovo‘s Yoga C740 has a slightly new name, but it’s still a successor to the Yoga 730, which I reviewed in early 2018. Lenovo makes two different sizes — 14 inches and 15 inches — though the main differences between the two models are display (optional Dolby Vision HDR400 in the larger laptop), slightly larger battery, and chassis size.
My review unit of the Yoga C740 14 has a 10th Gen Intel Core i5-10210U processor (CPU) with four cores, 8GB of DDR4-2666MHz RAM that is soldered and not upgradeable, a 512GB M.2 PCIe solid-state drive (SSD) that can be upgraded after purchase, and integrated Intel UHD Graphics. The touch display uses an IPS panel and has a glossy finish.
Lenovo often has ecoupons available for its laptops that drop the price, but you can generally expect to pay around 750 for an introductory model with similar hardware to the review unit. A high-end unit customized with an Intel Core i7-10510U CPU, 16GB of RAM, and 1TB M.2 PCIe SSD costs closer to about 1,220.
Let’s take a look at the hardware you can expect in the 14-inch Yoga C740.

What I love about Lenovo’s Yoga C740
Like its predecessor (Yoga 730) and its more expensive sibling (Yoga C940), the Yoga C740 is built into a solid aluminum chassis with explicit lines. Its firm dual-hinge design allows it to convert to tent, stand, and tablet modes when you’re interested in deviating from a standard notebook format, and its display is compatible with a Wacom AES active pen — like the Lenovo Active Pen 2 — for jotting down notes or sketching drafts. It weighs in at just more than three pounds (1.4kg), which might feel a tad heavy when used as a tablet, but as a notebook, it’s no issue.
Keys stretch up against the speakers, and large keycaps make for comfortable typing. I used it for a few days to type thousands of words, and even coming off of the dreamy ThinkPad X1 Extreme I didn’t mind too much the change. Key travel isn’t nearly as deep, but it’s still soft and well-spaced. The Precision touchpad does its job well, offering up access to all Windows 10 gestures. It’s sized appropriately for the rest of the laptop, not too big (if there is such a thing) and not too small.
There’s no IR camera here, but above the display is a front-facing 720p webcam that has one of the most unobtrusive privacy shutters I’ve seen so far. If you’re worried about your privacy when sitting at the laptop, it’s a welcome addition. Set into the right palm rest is a fingerprint reader for logins through Windows Hello. It works quickly and accurately.
I used the Yoga C740 for general productivity work — heavy web browsing, video streaming, word processing, and some photo editing — and found the 51Wh battery to last about six hours on a charge. I was primarily working in a very well-lit room and required brightness to be cranked up to maximum to fight glare. In an ideal situation with display brightness at about halfway, this laptop can no doubt push eight hours. Plugged into the 65W AC adapter, a dead battery will regain a majority of its charge in less than an hour.
Using PCMark 10’s battery rundown test with constant video playback, the Yoga C740 hit just a couple minutes less than six hours at 60% brightness.
I ran some synthetic benchmarks to see how well the hardware inside the Yoga C740 led by an Intel Core i5-10210U CPU holds up against other laptops we’ve tested.

Solid numbers here from the quad-core Core i5-1021U CPU. It’s going to cut through productivity work without much issue. I also ran an OpenCL integrated GPU test on the Intel UHD Graphics and got back a score of 5,888. Even with the Core i7 model, there’s no Iris Plus Graphics; this is a 14nm Comet Lake CPU rather than 10nm Ice Lake.

What I dislike about Lenovo’s Yoga C740
The Yoga C740’s 14-inch FHD (no 4K option) display gets a mixed reaction. It features accurate color reproduction — I measured with my Spyder5pro colorimeter 100% sRGB and 78% AdobeRGB — and noticeably punchy contrast. Brightness is average at around the 300 nits mark, but its glossy display causes some issues. It’s touted as being “anti-glare,” but there’s no anti about it.
I primarily worked in a very sunny room while testing the laptop, and had to have the brightness turned up to the maximum at all times. Even then, it was often hard to clearly see the entire screen. Moving to a room with standard electric lighting cuts down on the severity, but keep this in mind if you’re one who likes to work near a window.
The other main gripe I have is port selection. The Yoga 730 featured a Thunderbolt 3 port as well as two USB-A, whereas the Yoga C740 has made the move to dual USB-C and a single USB-A. Having even a single Thunderbolt 3 on the Yoga C740 would be a welcome addition, allowing users to connect a powerful docking station. Add in the fact that the Yoga C740 uses one of the USB-C ports to charge, and you’re essentially down to one USB-C, one USB-A, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
Should you buy Lenovo’s Yoga C740?
So … all things considered, should you buy Lenovo’s 14-inch Yoga C740 as your next convertible device? The price is undeniably quite attractive. You’re looking at paying about 750 for a model with review-unit hardware, which is capable of handling a day of home or office work. Add in an active pen, and you have something equally capable for notes and sketches.
It’s a well-built convertible with sleek aluminum chassis, the top-firing speakers are a welcome change, and the keyboard and touchpad are built to promote productivity. A fingerprint reader and webcam shutter help with privacy and security. If 14 inches isn’t large enough, there’s also the 15-inch model to check out. That being said, it might not be quite what you’re looking for despite the great price.
If you’re interested in adding some extra features and don’t mind a higher price, the Yoga C940 might be a better choice. It comes with an optional 4K touch display with HDR400, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, standard Wi-Fi 6, a soundbar hinge, and an optional dedicated GPU in the larger 15-inch model. The pen is also built right into the chassis, meaning you don’t have to shell out extra and keep tabs on it after that.

The Lenovo Yoga C740 is what I’d describe as a great no-frills convertible PC. It cuts out all of the perks of a premium PC, like the soundbar, pen garage, 4K Dolby Vision screen, and the IR camera and other sensors found on the Yoga C940.That leaves us.
Those are the main differences between the two and, for me, they’re things that are nice to have, but not necessities considering the price difference. With the Yoga C740, you’re still walking away with an excellent two-in-one for the money.
The C740 is a good machine. You won’t do much better for less than 800. But before buying, I do recommend that you look into its competitors and see what you’re missing out on when you choose a laptop at this price. You’re giving up things like a standout screen, dedicated graphics, and a bundled stylus. If you can do without those, you’ll like the C740 quite a lot. But as other sub-1,000 competitors continue to innovate, I hope that the budget Yoga line finds a way to keep up.
The Yoga C740 from Lenovo is an impressively implemented 2-in-1 convertible laptop. It’s flexible and rugged enough to use in the various modes.We appreciate its keyboard, the position and size of its trackpad; enough room is made for efficient, fast.
Lenovo has positioned the Yoga C740-14 quite well in the current market. It’s hundreds of dollars less than both the Dell XPS 13 7390 2-in-1 and Asus ZenBook Flip 14 when configured with the same RAM and storage capacities while offering a larger screen.
Bottom LineNot even Lenovo would call the Yoga C740 the world’s greatest 14-inch convertible (it might say that about the Yoga C940), but this economy model has a lot to.

Design
The Lenovo YOGA C740 2-in-1 laptops are pretty slick looking. Our review units came in the MICA greyish/silver colorway which looked quite nice. Both the 14- and 15-inch versions are pretty similar in design and build. The YOGA logo is stamped into the top left corner of the lid (when looking at the laptop closed). Near the back of the laptop are two hinges, one on each side about an inch in from the edge and about an inch and a half in length. These hinges allow the laptop to open in laptop, tent, stand, and tablet mode, allowing flexibility in how you use the system.
The left and right sides of both the 14″ and 15″ YOGA C740 laptops are pretty similar as well. The left side is where you’ll find the USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 (power delivery) port, USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port, and the headphone/mic combo jack. On the right side is where the power button and USB-A ports are located — one on the 14″ model and two on the 15″ model.

Opening the laptop, you’ll find that the keyboard on the YOGA C740 laptops is the familiar chiclet-style. Typing is a bit soft on them — especially if you are used to using mechanical keyboards — but after a while, you do get used to it. The keyboard is your typical six-row keyboard, with a half-height FN/computer controls row across the top. The 14″ C740 does have slightly wider keys on the left as the 15″ C740 requires more space for the included number pad (which is not a feature on the 14″ model).
On the 14″, the speaker grilles are on either side of the keyboard, while on the 15″ they are on the underside. Both laptops have a fingerprint scanner just under the far right of the keyboard. The fingerprint scanner is quick and responsive. The touchpad is centered under the spacebar but off-centered towards the left on both laptops. Given the included number pad on the 15″, the touchpad is offset much more. As far as touchpads go, the one on the YOGA C740 is pretty responsive and I had no issues with it. Finally, the Lenovo nameplate is on the lower right edge of both laptops.
The display itself has bezels around the sides with a slightly thicker one on the top, which houses the 720p HD camera, and an even slightly thicker one on the bottom. The camera has a very small slider above it which allows you to slide the privacy shade on or off the camera. When the privacy shade is on, a small orange dot appears in the middle of the camera.
The bottom of the YOGA C740 has two long strips, one near the front and the other near the back, to slightly raise and add grip when the laptop is used on a flat surface. Just in front of the back strip is a vent grille for airflow and heat dissipation. As mentioned above, the 15-inch version also has speakers located near the front of the bottom of the laptop, unlike the 14-inch version which are on either side of the keyboard.
Display
YOGA C740 14″
The Lenovo YOGA C740 14″ has a single display option: a 14″ FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS touchscreen, with anti-glare, 300nits brightness, and Dolby Vision. The screen was bright enough for most areas I used it in and the glare wasn’t overly noticeable when the brightness was properly adjusted. The colours on the display were nice and rich as well, and watching supported movies with Dolby Vision was a treat.

YOGA C740 15.6″
On the other hand, the Lenovo YOGA C740 15″ has two display options: the 15.6″ FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS touchscreen with 500 nits of brightness and HDR VESA400 certification that our review unit came with and a 15.6″ FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS touchscreen with an anti-glare finish and 250 nits of brightness. The 15.6-inch screen was easily usable in any lighting condition especially with the maximum 500 nits of brightness. Colours were decent and rich as well, and HDR for supported content is a treat. While HDR is hit and miss still with Windows 10 as a whole, checking out a few Netflix offerings in HDR offered up a nice viewing experience.
General display observations
In the case of both systems, the touchscreen was responsive and worked as expected. The operating system responded depending on the type of orientation (laptop, stand, tent, or tablet) mode used and I didn’t have any issues performing tasks with the touchscreen.
Software
As far as software is concerned, the Lenovo C740 YOGA is available with Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro. Windows 10 Home will work for most users while Pro adds a few more business-centric options.
There are a few extra applications that come pre-installed, but not many. Aside from Lenovo Vantage, LenovoUtility, and Lenovo Pen Settings, the C740 ships with a McAfee trial pre-installed as well. Lenovo Vantage allows users to easily update drivers, run diagnostics, request support, and even learn more about the features and functionality of the C740. LenovoUtility shows an onscreen icon whenever one of the Fn keys is pressed while Lenovo Pen Settings let you configure the Lenovo Pen for touchscreens if you have one. Finally, McAfee is one of two anti-virus programs that come pre-installed on most systems. Personally, I uninstall McAfee and just use the default Windows 10 security software.
Performance
Lenovo YOGA C740 14″
While you can get up to 10th Generation Intel Core i7-10510U (1.80GHz, up to 4.90GHz Turbo Boost, 4 Cores, 8MB Cache) CPUs with the YOGA C740 series, our 14-inch review unit came with the Intel i5-10210U 1.6GHz processor.
For the most part, the system ran just fine with the i5, 8GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD drive. Depending on your workflow, this configuration should be fine for most people. It is able to easily handle a few open tabs, as well as Photoshop and Lightroom image editing. I personally noticed a bit of a slow down on occasion but I frequently run multiple (up to 20) open tabs, often at the same time I have another app like Word or Photoshop open. On that note, the slow down/stutter was pretty infrequent and the average user shouldn’t see it at all.
Lenovo YOGA C740 15″
Our Lenovo YOGA C740 15″ review unit, on the other hand, came with the faster i7-10510U processor. It also sports 12GB of RAM and a 512GB 32GB Optane SSD drive. Compared to the i5-10210U in the 14-inch unit, I didn’t notice any stuttering or slowdown whatsoever, regardless of the number of tabs open or whether I was also running Photoshop, Lightroom, or other apps at the same time.
General performance observations
In both cases, I was impressed with how fast it turns on when you open the lid and use the fingerprint scanner when it’s in sleep mode. While the i5-10210U is more than adequate for most users, if you are in the habit of having multiple tabs open or do a lot of graphic work, you may want to spend the extra on the i7-10510U processor, as well as extra RAM.
Sound Quality
Lenovo YOGA C740 14″
With it’s dual upfiring Dolby Atmos speakers, the 14-inch YOGA C740 has pretty nice sound with pretty decent positional audio. However, as is the case with many laptops, you’re not getting much bass here unfortunately. Still, I wouldn’t be adverse to watching an entire movie on the system with the onboard speakers.

Lenovo YOGA C740 15″
With the 15-inch YOGA C740, the bottom-firing speakers — while just as loud — aren’t quite as clear as the speakers on the 14-inch version. They are still adequate, and unless compared side by side like I could, you likely wouldn’t notice the difference. Again, there is a lack of bass here but they do just fine in a pinch.
General sound quality observations
While the sound on the Lenovo YOGA C740 is fairly decent overall, being a 2-in-1, your sound quality will vary based on the mode you are using. The 14-inch will sound better with laptop and tablet mode while the 15-inch will sound better in stand and tent mode based on the speaker placement.
Camera
While 720p HD cameras are fine for most cases, it’d be nice to see companies start to offer up 1080p FHD cameras. Given the recent increase in video conferencing for both business and personal use, higher quality would definitely be welcome by a lot of users. The inclusion of a built-in camera privacy shutter is a welcome feature.

That being said, the camera on the YOGA C740 2-in-1 laptops is more than adequate for what it’s likely to be used for.
Battery Life
I have to admit, I’m notoriously hard on laptops when it comes to battery life. I personally refuse to use the best battery setting which is where most companies get there long battery life claims from. I much personally prefer the better performance setting and will begrudingly use the better battery for testing.
On that note, on the better performance setting with the display set to 70% brightness, backlit keyboard on, and a USB mouse attached to the laptop, I did manage to get just under six hours of battery life on the 14″ YOGA C740 and four-and-a-half hours on the 15″ YOGA C740. When set to better battery, I was able to get nearly eight hours and six hours respectively. Given Lenovo claims up to 14 hours of battery life on the 14″ and up to 11.5 hours on the 15″ with HDR (as tested) or 15 hours on the non-HDR version, I didn’t really come close. Of course, turning your brightness down and disabling the backlit keyboard will also increase battery life. During testing on battery I was strictly web browsing, document editing, and watching the odd short video clip here and there.
The 15″ YOGA C740 also features Rapid Charge which allows you to charge for one hour in standby mode or while powered off and get up to 80% battery life based on test results using the MobileMark2014 ver. 1.5 battery life benchmark test.
Price/Value
The Lenovo YOGA C740 14″ starts at US869.99. Our review unit, as tested, comes in at that 869.99 regular price. Given the specifications, build quality, and performance, this is a pretty reasonable price. As usual, Lenovo usually has sales going on and you can pick up a C740 14″ from as low as 819.99 as of the time of this review.
Surprisingly, the Lenovo YOGA C740 15″ starts at US859.99, slightly cheaper than its smaller counterpart. Again, decent specifications, build quality, and performance are offered up and, in fact, the 15-inch is a better value than the 14-inch at current pricing. As tested, our review unit will set you back 1,199.99. Again, there is a sale going on at Lenovo and you can get the C740 for as low as 779.99 right now.

Учитывая ценник устройства от 84 тысяч, а также бренд «Yoga», очевидно, что это премиум ноутбук с вниманием к мелочам. Соответственно, к сборке претензий быть не может. Ноутбук выполнен из металла. В сложенном состоянии тактильно он ощущается, как два сцепленных куска металла.
В дизайне минимум брендинга. На внешней крышке надпись Yoga, а на внутренней поверхности (где клавиатура) «бирка» Lenovo.
Петли ноутбука сделаны таким образом, чтобы он раскрывался на 360 градусов и использовался, как планшет. Вес в 1.4 кг, а также сенсорный экран это легко позволяют делать.
Нередко возможность раскрыть ноутбук на 180 градусов очень полезна. В данном случае опираешь лэптоп на руль и вполне удобно можно отвечать на письма
Внешне это типичный деловой лэптоп, который не будут бросаться в глаза и привлекать лишнее внимание. Пожалуй, единственный минус конструкции, что ноутбук нельзя открыть одной рукой. С другой стороны, так сделано, потому что это устройство 2-в-1 и нельзя, чтобы петли гуляли.
Экран и мультимедиа
В ноутбуке экран 14 дюймов с довольно тонкими рамками для 2020 года. Это IPS панель отличного качества, обладающая всеми свойствами IPS-панелей: высокие углы обзора и точность цветопередачи. Цветовой охват составляет почти 100% sRGB.
Экран глянцевый, но снабжен антибликовым покрытием. Несмотря на то, что заявленная яркость 300 нит, ноутбук в измерениях показал «честные» 330 нит. Но чудес ждать не надо. При работе рядом с окном, если там солнышко, то экран бликует. Делу это не мешает, но, конечно, неприятно.
Немного бликов, но работе это не мешает
Экран сенсорный. Если думаете, что он не нужен, то ошибаетесь. Будете регулярно пользоваться. Это очень хорошо и удобно. У меня на тесте была старшая модель этой серии. Там стилус был встроен в корпус, а тут стилуса вообще в комплекте нет. Это минус. Интересно, почему решили отказаться. Небольшой формат ноутбука позволяет складывать его и пользоваться вертикально для чтения документов.
Немного необычное, но от того не менее правильное решение — это разместить динамики на внутренней панели по бокам от клавиатуры. На мой взгляд, такое положение оптимально и улучшает звучание. Занятно, но надписи Harman Kardon или ещё какого «звуковика» тут нет. Только сообщение, что звук сертифицирован Dolby Atmos. Мне звук понравился. На мой вкус он сбалансированный, отлично подходит для просмотра фильмов. Басов в нем, конечно, нет, а максимальная громкость на уровне 82 Дб, то есть громкость такая же, какую может выдавать средний смартфон при прослушивании музыки.
Над монитором находится веб-камера с защитной шторкой. Мне очень нравится это элегантное решение от Lenovo. Но важно помнить, что шторка просто прикрывает камеру, но не блокирует звук. Качество веб-камеры хотел написать, что типичное. Но в последнее время на Zoom и Skype конференциях использовал этот ноутбук и обратил внимание, что качество моей картинки немного лучше, чем у большинства остальных, за исключением тех, кто пользовался телефонами. «Так вот оно что. подумал я про себя. оказывается, тут есть ещё и сорта». В любом случае погоды это не делает.
Производительность
Про производительность, к сожалению, много не расскажешь. В ноутбуке используется процессор 10-го поколения от Intel. Intel Core i7-10510U, но это версия с графикой не Intel Iris Plus, а просто с Intel UHD. Таким образом, ноутбук хорош в расчётах и прочих офисных делах, на нём можно обработать фото в Photoshop. Но это не Iris Plus, позволяющая запускать ААА-игры на минимальных настройках. Впрочем, в «танки» поиграть, конечно, можно. На «ультра» настройках немного плавности не хватает, но на «средних» летает. Ну, а на что-то серьезнее можно не рассчитывать. В «Ведьмаке 3», к сожалению, больше 15 fps на любых настройках и разрешениях выбить у меня не получилось.
Из каких-то особенностей начинки можно выделить, что Lenovo не пожадничали и в моем образце стоял терабайтный SSD от Samsung. Я сразу это понял, как прогнал тест скорости. Что-что, а на рынке SSD памяти лучше Samsung нет. У них самые скоростные диски, превосходящие конкурентов минимум на 200-400 мбит, что в течение, что на запись. Обычно производитель всегда устанавливает разные модели дисков в один и тот же ноутбук. Соответственно, если есть возможность, то старайтесь проверять, чтобы были Samsung или Toshiba (тоже в последнее время неплохо прибавили). Поверьте, суперскоростные SSD творят чудеса и меняют восприятие устройства. Все программы, да и операционная система загружаются за полсекунды.
Говоря про производительность, нельзя не отметить, что ноутбук практически не греется при офисных делах. Пока проводил синтетические тесты, то есть заставлял работать по максимуму, заметил следующее. Зоны запястий остаются холодными. Верхняя часть клавиатуры становится ощутимо теплой, а вот с тыльной стороны рядом с решеткой вентиляции ноутбук нагревается значительно, что можно даже сказать «горячо». Мои не самые точные замеры показали температуру в 44 градуса на задней поверхности.
Соответственно, вывод очевидный. Под максимальной нагрузкой не ставьте ноутбук на мягкое и закрывайте отверстия для выхлопа.
Положительно могу ответить, что даже под максимальной нагрузкой ноутбук остаётся практически бесшумным. Шум не превышает 37 Дб. Обычно считается, что человек начинает реагировать на звук от 40 Дб.
Все тесты производительности показывают высокий запас мощности для обработки всех типов данных, кроме графических. То есть ноутбук подходит для офисных задач, несложной обработки фотографий в Photoshop, и не подходит для игр или видеомонтажа.
Апгрейду поддаётся только SSD диск, оперативную память поменять на получится. Таковы реалии ультрабуков.
Клавиатура, тачпад, сканер отпечатка пальца
С точки зрения печати, клавиатура великолепна. Отменный ход клавиш, очень приятный легкий шелест при печати. Между клавишами правильное расстояние, позволяющее печатать без опечаток. На этом ноутбуке набрал много статей, и остался доволен.
- Работу функциональных клавиш можно выбирать в фирменном софте Lenovo. Его лучше закрепить на панели быстрого доступа. Так при работе в офисных приложениях я люблю, когда F-клавиши используются в комбинациях, в повседневных занятиях, наоборот, с их помощью проще регулировать громкость звука, яркость экрана.
- Клавиши стрелок вверх-вниз спарены, а также на них помещены Home/End, PgUp/PgDn. Я такое не люблю.
- Зато кнопки PrintScreen, Insert и Delete отдельные.
- У клавиатуры есть два уровня подсветки молочно-белого цвета
Тачпад стандартных размером 10.5 на 7 см. Отлично поддерживает жесты, нижняя его часть продавливается, имитирую нажатия кнопок мыши.
Под клавиатурой находится сканер отпечатка пальца. Отличная точность, быстрая работа. Неплохо распознавал даже мокрые руки. Рекомендую пользоваться им. Это удобнее, чем вводить пароль.
Время автономной работы
Ноутбук можно заряжать через USB Type-C разъём, есть функций PowerDelivery. К сожалению, у меня нет ни одной из новомодных быстрых зарядок для смартфонов высокой мощности. Но зарядка от realme на 30 Вт как бы заряжает ноутбук, но делает это очень медленно и только в выключенном состоянии. С развитием мобильных зарядок в будущем не придётся таскать с собой классический адаптер для зарядки на 65 Вт.
В промо-материалах время работы заявлено на уровне в 13 часов. Вполне достижимый показатель. Но при повседневной моей нагрузке, включающей офисные приложения, интернет и яркость на уровне 50% ноутбук вполне смог продержаться 9.5 часов.
Под максимальной нагрузкой, как при выполнение синтетических тестов, лэптоп может продержаться 2 часа ещё 5 минут.
Если оставить ноутбук в спящем режиме, то он будет постепенно разряжаться. Мой замер показал, что с полуночи до 10 утра ноутбук разрядился на 7%. Соответственно, за сутки разряд составит в районе 15-16%.
В режиме чтения книг ноутбук легко может протянуть и 13 часов
Впечатления и конкуренты
В июле-августе мне пришлось много помотаться между Питером и и работать, где угодно, но не дома. Всё это время я с большим удовольствием пользовался Lenovo Yoga C740-14IML. По этой причине могу смело рекомендовать его к покупке. Это надежный, выносливый ноутбук с отличным временем автономной работы. Корпус из алюминия позволяет не бояться за царапины, и класть ноутбук в сумку без чехла. В минусы, пожалуй, можно записать отсутствие HDMI или слота для карт памяти. С одной стороны, отсутствие возможности поменять оперативную память это минус, с другой, таковы реалии ультрабуков.
Попутно отмечу, что сегодня если покупаете ультрабук, то желательно, чтобы он был формата 2-в-1, то есть с сенсорным экраном и умел раскладываться на 360 градусов. В машине, поезде, самолете, дома на диване и при множестве других сценариев вы не раз помянете свой ноутбук добрым словом, если он умеет крутиться. Оптимально, если в комплекте есть и стилус. В основном производители прикладывают/продают внешний стилус. У старшей модели Lenovo Yoga C940 так и сделано.
Ультрабуки – это самая распространенная категория на рынке на текущий момент, поэтому конкурентов у Lenovo вагон и маленькая тележка. Рекомендую обратить внимание на Asus. Эти ребята тоже набили руку в ультрабуках. Asus ZenBook 13 или 14 прекрасные образцы. У них нет сенсорного экрана, зато он матовый. А также есть варианты с графикой Intel Iris Plus.
Нельзя скидывать со счетов и XPS от Dell. Прекрасные, но 13-ти дюймовые модели, схожие по характеристикам. Нет классических USB Type-A, зато есть слот для microSD. И яркость экранов заявлено до 500 нит.
