How it works

Briefly about how the engine starter heater installed on the machine should work:

  • The control unit receives an activation signal from a thermostat or remote control.
  • The actuator motor is energized by the car battery.
  • The motor turns on, causing it to activate the fuel pump of the heating system and activate the venting device.
  • The pump of the device begins to pressurize to circulate the fuel, which evaporates in the evaporator.
  • Air flow to the heating unit.
  • An air-fuel mixture is produced which flows into the combustion chamber. This is where it ignites as a result of the interaction with the heated ceramic pin. In order to heat the latter, a small amount of current is required compared to the metal pin.
  • After the combustion of the air-fuel mixture the received thermal energy is transferred to the cooling agent through a special heat exchanger.
  • A suction pump is activated, which helps to start the circulation of antifreeze through the cooling system.
  • The heated coolant or water (depending on what is in the cooling system) transfers the heat to the engine.
  • Once the temperature of the antifreeze reaches a certain point (it depends on the manufacturer, but usually it is 30 degrees), there is an automatic activation of the fan of the cabin heating system. The heater blows warm air.
  • When the coolant temperature increases to the next threshold (usually 70 degrees, depending on the model), the amount of fuel supplied to the heater decreases. After the refrigerant cools down, the heater starts to operate at full capacity.

  • Standard. One of the cooling system lines is muffled and the heating unit heats the engine circuit together with the cabin radiator.
